The cornerstone of BOB TULIPAN’s creativity is rooted in his unique vantage point as a major player in numerous and varied aspects of the entertainment industry. Having studied as an actor, Tulipan quickly expanded his horizons first in South Florida where after leaving college he formed Family, a Production Company with Otis Redding’s former Tour Manager Terry Morgan. Family booked Phil Walden’s Roster of Artists, The Allman Brothers, Cowboy, Wet Willie, Percy Sledge and others in Florida Colleges and also represented other regional recording artists. In addition the firm also produced major concert events. Within a few months Bob had expanded the film’s distribution with a powerful stereo mix, enhanced by a more compact method of sound installation that enabled broader distribution. To achieve the maximum exposure, Bob expanded the usual movie industry marketing approach and utilized his concert promotion skills by enlisting the support of London Records, Rolling Stones Records and numerous radio and television stations to co-sponsor the film’s presentation. As a result, the film reached top fifty in Variety Magazine’s Top Film Gross chart for several weeks.
